Michael Ray Rue, 64, passed away July 17th, peacefully at home surrounded by family after a long illness.
He was born November 29th, 1956 and was a lifelong resident of Athens.
He now has joined his father, Leonard Rue, in heaven.
He is survived by his wife, the love of his life, of 43 years,Phyllis Colboch Rue; mother, Virginia Rue; son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Amber Rue; granddaughter, Alexis; father and mother-in-law, James and Faye Colboch; fur babies and special fur baby “Rolo.”
He was a hard worker and spent 26 years at Collins and Aikman and acquired a master certification in electrical engineering post retirement. He was a member of Westview Baptist Church. Mike will be missed by everyone who knew him, but he is now walking with the Lord and watching from above.
A funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 20th at 1:00 p.m. at Good Samaritan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service. A burial will follow at McMinn Memory Gardens with Rev. Ron Cook officiating.
