Susan Lynette Brown, 69, of Athens, TN passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Susans greatest desire was to be reunited with her grandparents, Carl and Lucille Vornholt and Sarah Rowe; parents, Kermise and Mary Lou Rowe and husband, Mark Brown. Her desire was that her family would be ready to meet her and Jesus when He comes back to get us all.
Survivors include her daughters, Kelly (Gregg) Shipp and Jill (Bryce) Reading; grandchildren, Clara Reading, Bryson Reading and Rowe Shipp; sister, Sandy (Donald) Keele; niece, Andrea Keele; nephew Donald (Rachel) Keele III.
Her extended family and friends will recognize her by the picture shown, as she will be raised up transformed into the young and vibrant woman God intended her to be all along.
Susan rests with the words of Paul in 1 Corinthians 15:51-55 NLT, “But let me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! It will happen in a moment, in the blink of an eye, when the last trumpet is blown. For when the trumpet sounds, those who have died will be raised to live forever. And we who are living will also be transformed. For our dying bodies must be transformed into bodies that will never die; our mortal bodies must be transformed into immortal bodies. Then, when our dying bodies have been transformed into bodies that will never die, this Scripture will be fulfilled: “Death is swallowed up in victory. O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?”
All are invited to gather at her final resting place marked by an Angel in the Collegedale Memorial Park Cemetery on Sunday May 3, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. with Don Keele, officiating.
