Steve Hale

Steve Hale, 58, of Athens, passed away Thursday, July 28th at UT Medical Center.

Steve was a lifelong millwright who took pride in his work and who loved his family deeply.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Margaret Hale; grandparents, Dewey and Lillian Gunter, and Henry and Lara Hale; and mother-in-law, Pauline McFarland.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-two years, Marti Hale; daughters, Rylee Jo, Rachel Margaret, and Ressie Pauline Hale; sisters, Cheryl (Robbie) Ward and Alisha (Phillip) Johnson; special aunt, Paula Guffey; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, David (Marybeth) McFarland, Carol (Joel) Walker, and Wanda Derrick; many nieces and nephews; and many special friends including, Big Dee and Glynda Liles.

A visitation will be held on Monday, August 1st from 4-7 p.m. with funeral to follow at Union Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating.
