Stephen Nathaniel Cates

Stephen Nathaniel Cates was born August 22, 1990, and passed away on Friday, August 25, 2023.

Stephen was a lifelong resident of McMinn County. He was an avid Georgia Bulldogs football fan. He loved being outdoors and tinkering with anything he thought he could fix. He loved animals of all kinds. He loved to play and spoil his nieces and nephews with toys and love. He was an employee of Kendall Vegetation Services of Lawrenceville, GA.

Preceded in death by his uncles, Richy Cook and Eddie Cates and little brother Davey Williams.

Survivors include mom and stepdad, Christina and Curtis Willeby; father and stepmom Sam and Jecika Cates; brothers and sisters-in-law, J.R. and Meghan Cates, Taylor and Angela Williams; brother Nathan Willeby; sister, Ella Leamon; grandparents. Susie and James Cook, Marilyn and Mike Houston; several cousins, as well as nieces and nephews.

The visitation will be Wednesday August 30th, from 5-8 p.m. at Good Samaritan Funeral Home with the funeral at 8 with Johnny Williams and Gene Totherow officiating.
