Patrick Gruetzmacher

Patrick Gruetzmacher, a loving husband, dedicated father, and cherished friend, passed away on May 14, 2025, at the age of 59. Born on October 14, 1965, in Rockford, Illinois, Patrick was a proud graduate of Bishop Moore Catholic High School in Orlando, Florida, in 1983.

Patrick embarked on a rewarding career in sales, demonstrating unparalleled dedication and passion in his work. He ultimately finished his career at Cadence Petroleum.

Patrick had a zest for life that extended greatly beyond his work; he loved to travel, ride motorcycles, and forge connections with new people. His joyous spirit and friendly nature allowed him to make friends wherever he went.

Patrick took great pride in his home and yard, finding fulfillment in the beauty of nurturing plants and creating inviting spaces.

Patrick is survived by his beloved wife, Patti, and their children, Erin Gruetzmacher, Matthew Gruetzmacher, Aaron Drick, Rocky (Melina) Henry, "Laci" Jay Henry and Zachary (Pauline) Henry. He also leaves behind his mother-in-law, Betty Hay, brother-in-law, Steve (Diana) Hay, along with many nieces and nephews.

Patrick was preceded in death by his father, Greg Gruetzmacher, and his mother, Carol McInerny Kennedy, whose love and guidance shaped the man he became.

He will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The family request that visitors dress comfortable and wear blue to honor the memory of Patrick.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 PM Monday May 19 at Good Samaritan Funeral Home, family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 prior to the service.
