Miles Franklin Rollo Jr., a devoted family man, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026. Born on November 28, 1948, in Lafayette, Louisiana, Miles lived a life marked by dedication to his career, his country, and most importantly, his loved ones.
Frank served honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. Following his military service, he built a career first as an electrician, where he accomplished the status of master electrician, and then continued his career in field of nuclear energy, and he was known to be a "Jack of all trades". His lifelong affiliation with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 676 was a source of pride, reflecting his steadfast dedication and work ethic.
Beyond his professional achievements, Frank was a man who cherished his family deeply. He was especially proud of his grandchildren and their accomplishments.
Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Brenda Rollo; his children Trey (Beth) Rollo, Brendan (Amanda) Rollo, Chandler (Autumn) Rollo, and Keltsey (Corey) Brenizer; and his grandchildren Kyndal Bree Rollo, Jaxon Miles Rollo, Sophie Grae Rollo, Hudson Jace Rollo, Journey Grace Rollo, Justice Lane Rollo, Addison Grace Brenizer, Harper Scout Brenizer, and Hadley Brenay Brenizer; brother Thomas Dixon Rollo; Nieces Brooke Ashley (Rufus) Watson, Erienne Leigh Rollo; special cousin Bobby Welch.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Helen Rollo.
Trey, Brendan and Chandler Rollo, along with Corey Brenizer will be serving as pall bearers.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the following: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, https://www.stjude.org, Folds of Honor, or First Baptist Church Athens.
A visitation to celebrate and remember Frank will be held on June 5, 2026, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM at the Good Samaritan Funeral Home. Following the visitation, a graveside service will take place from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at McMinn Memory Gardens.
