Michael James Lavergne, age 53 of Athens, passed away Friday afternoon surrounded by his family.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, Gerald and Betty Lavergne.
Michael is survived by his sister, Jennifer Thurman (Tracy); Niece, Abby Wade (Kelsey); Several Aunts; one Uncle; and cousins.
He enjoyed spending time outdoors, loved working with his hands, loved gospel music and going to church with his mother. He was a loving, caring son and brother. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, he will always be in our hearts.
There are no formal services scheduled at this time.
