Marco Vasquez

Marco Tulio Vasquez, a devoted Machinist and beloved family man, was born on June 5, 1949, in Colombia. He passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, in Athens, Tennessee, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, loyalty, and love.

Throughout his life, Marco took immense pride in his work as a machinist, channeling his dedication into every task he undertook. A true testament to his character, he not only embraced the labor with enthusiasm but also exemplified a strong commitment to his craft.

Marco was a man defined by his loyalty to family. He cherished spending quality time with his family and friends, creating memories that were filled with laughter and joy. His love extended to his beloved dogs, whose care brought him great happiness.

One of Marco’s proudest accomplishments was migrating to America, where he worked tirelessly to achieve the American dream.

Marco is survived by his son, Marco T. Vasquez, daughter-in-law Cynthia, and his cherished grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Nohemy Vasquez, whom he loved dearly.

The community will gather to honor Marco’s life during visitation services scheduled for May 2, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Good Samaritan Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held May 8, 2025, at ST. Mary Catholic Church at 1:00 PM, burial to follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.

Following the graveside service, the Vasquez family will host a reception at Southern Events, located at 298 W Madison Ave.
