Kimberley Edmonson

Kimberlie Lois Edmonson, 61, of Athens, TN went to her eternal home on Sunday, May 24, 2026. She was preceded in death by her Mother, Joyce Ann Goforth Johnson and her Father, Robert Dale Johnson.

Kim was a devout Christian who loved the Lord with all her heart. That love shone through in her daily life. She always tried to handle situations with humility and a Christ centered approach, even if that made you a little uncomfortable. Kim was an avid gardner who could grow anything. She enjoyed the outdoors and could be found most days out “Playing in the Yard”. She got great joy in planting flowers and watching them grow. She also loved to plant and grow her vegetable garden. She was known for sharing the fruits of her labor with family and neighbors alike. She had a love for animals from the smallest barnyard critter to the largest of zoo animals. Kim loved fiercely, with her whole heart. Her greatest joy was her children and her grandchildren. A loving mother, sister and grandmother and aunt, she leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Jamie Spurling and daughter Mary Elizabeth “Beth” Bradley (Justin); two sisters, Christine Davis and Cheryl Riedel (Nick); 5 grandchildren Ashton Spurling, Ethan McCosh, Ariana Young, Avery Young and Everly Bradley. 5 nieces, April Hicks, Brittany Riedel, Megan Riedel, Emily Davis and Nikki Dawson. She also leaves behind several cousins and special friends. A memorial service will be planed in the near future.
