Joyce Holcomb

Joyce Ann Holcomb, 70, formally of Sweetwater and Tellico Plains, moved on to her heavenly home on July 10th, 2022.

Joyce was one of 13 Children of the late Clyde and Elizabeth Thompson of “The Head of The Creek” in Sweetwater. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Browder Holcomb; daughters, Andrea Holcomb and Nina Holcomb; brothers, Ronnie Thompson, Junior Thompson, Mike Thompson, Billy Thompson, and David Thompson; sister, Cindy Thompson; brother-in-laws, Steve Holcomb and Avery Holcomb.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Fisk, Evelyn Valentine, Cecil Holcomb, Jaqueline Torres, and Roger Holcomb all of Florida, Stacey and Shawn Martin of Knoxville, TN; brothers and sister-in-laws, James and Patricia Thompson, Jeff and Melinda Thompson, Gary and Sandy Thompson, Johnny and Mounice Thompson; sisters, Louise Thompson White, Bill Shukas, Linda and Homer Holcomb; sister-in-laws Lola Holcomb and Jeanie Holcomb Yates. Joyce had a very large family that stretched near and far with Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and many cousins.

A grave side service will take place on Wednesday, July 13th at 12:00 PM at Eleazar United Methodist Church Cemetery Tellico Plains, TN with Rev. Aaron Howard officiating. Followed by lunch at New Bethany Baptist Church Head of the Creek in Sweetwater.
