Jim Zane

Jim Zane, 91 of Athens passed away Friday March 7, 2025.

He never met a stranger. Jim was always willing to pitch in and give others a helping hand. He had a tremendous sense of humor. As a young man Jim gladly served his country in the Marines during the Korean war. Jim was also an amazing cook! He loved to travel and spend time with his dachshund dogs, and was quite a tinkerer when it came to cars.

Jim is survived by his daughters, Cheryl Hatfield of Knoxville, Tn, Melissa Gavitt of Lehigh Acers, FL.; life partner, Winnie Zane.

Jim will be taken to Fort Lauderdale Florida for his final resting place.
