Elmo Shepherd passed away Sunday, December 10, 2023, at UT Medical Center surrounded by his family.
He was a truck driver for many years traveling across the United States.
Preceded in death by his parents Lewis and Velma Kirkland Shepherd; brothers, Jerry, Joe, Lewis (Junior), and Wicky Shepherd; sisters, Bernice (Floyd) Peels, Burmel (Dewayne) Cathey, and Shirley (Wade) Stewart, brother-in-law, James Breedlove.
Survivors include son, Rick (Sherry) Shepherd; grandchildren, Luke Shepherd, Leah Shepherd, and Megan Anderson; great grandchild, Braylyn Parker; sister, Brenda Breedlove; brother, Bill (Ruth) Shepherd; special niece, Jeannie (Ricky) Winsted and best friend, Phyllis Massengale.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 on Friday, December 15th at Good Samaritan Funeral Home, Athens with the funeral at 2. The interment will follow at Haven Hill Cemetery, Madisonville.
