Debbie Crain

Debbie Shelton Crain, passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 61. Born on December 2, 1963, she was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister who touched the hearts of many during her life.

Debbie was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church in Decatur, where she found both community and spiritual nourishment. She cherished her time spent with family, creating memories that will be treasured forever. Her warm spirit and caring nature brought joy to those around her, and she was exceptionally proud of her children and grandchildren.

Debbie is survived by her loving daughter Brandy (Joey) Lenker and her sons Jonathan (Tiffiny) Crain and William (Jillian) Crain. Grandchildren Jocelyn, Brantley, Jaylee, Callie, Kanen (Ashlee), Korbin, Colt, Taylor, Kegan and Nevaeh, as well as her great-granddaughter Avery. Her bond with them was a special part of her life. She is also survived by her brother John (Tommie) Shelton and several nieces and nephews. A cherished friend, Susie.

Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Leon Crain, her parents John and Charlotte Shelton. As well as her sisters, Linda McKenzie and Joyce Shelton.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Adoration Hospice as well as Christy McHone and Shelby White for the compassionate care provided.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 9, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed by a Funeral Service at 2:00 PM at Good Samaritan Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Crain Family Cemetery.
