Carol Barker

Donna “Carol” Barker, 79, of Athens, passed away Wednesday, January 26th, 2022. She was a hairdresser for 50 years. She loved her family, grandchildren, pets, especially dogs, and planting flowers.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene Thomas and Mary Helen Long.

She is survived by her two daughters, Wesley (Chris) Smith of Niota and Shannon (Tom) Lambert of Athens; grandchildren, Austin Smith (fiancé Savana Casteel), Cameron Smith, Allie Smith, Blake (Kelly) Lambert, Trent (Samantha) Lambert, Kylie (Grant) Brown; great grandchild, River Lambert; sister, Candy (Bob) Wilson of Athens; nieces and nephews, Tim (Emily) Melton and Wendi (Drew) Welch; and several great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will take place at Green Hill cemetery on Friday, January 28th at 4 p.m.
