Billy Eugene Raper

Billy Eugene Raper, 84 of Madisonville, passed away January 3rd, 2024, at his residence.

He lived most of his life in the Gudger Community. He was the son of the late John Ruel and Nannie Imogene Thomas Raper. He was preceded in death by a sister, Maxine Brown; brothers, John and Harold Raper. He was a 1957 graduate of Madisonville High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from ALCOA after 34 years.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Judy Hammontree Raper; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Shannon of Hixson, Andy and Casey of Madisonville and Joel and Courtney of Madisonville; 10 grandchildren, Kristin, Emma, Bryce, Sam, Jack, Katie, Nathan, Charlie, Joshua, and Aly Rose; sister, Sandra (Danny) Deal of Athens.
